We are Hampshire scrap metal merchants, with a solid reputation for our recycling service - always intending to keep our loyal and new customers completely satisfied.

Mobile Metals was created in 2011 by current managing director Mike Jury with the vision of changing the stigma around scrap metal collection and the industry. Over the years starting from the rag and bone man, scrap metal has gradually become big business. This has resulted in increasing metal thefts, costing the UK economy millions of pounds as people try any way possible to get their hands on metals such as copper and lead. Many businesses and homeowners have been hounded by unscrupulous and unlicensed dealers making them feel uneasy.

However, our aim is to bring a modern, friendly feel to collection. We have a fleet of sign written vans along with professional uniformed staff, so we are set apart from the rest. We have all relevant Environment Agency licences, along with the Scrap Metal Dealers Licence issued by the council, showing we are fully compliant with all legislation. Our vans have on board digital weighing facilities for non-ferrous metals, along with 500kg tail lifts to manoeuvre heavier items. We can also offer skips, waste containers and bins for you or your business and can arrange a collection plan to suit your needs.

Our Scrap Service Is In Demand

We undertake approximately 3500 jobs per annum, operating 6 days a week, from national companies to homeowners with a few items, but we welcome all business that comes our way. We offer washing machine collection in Portsmouth right through to large contract rip outs in London which can take months to complete, but rest assured all metal is recycled the right way to minimise landfill and our carbon footprint.

We are also Scrap Car Buyers in Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport, offering free collection and competitive prices. All DVLA paperwork is taken care of by our fully trained staff, we operate a recovery truck to collect the vehicles which also has a winch, meaning any vehicle you can't move we can collect and recycle correctly for you.
